GOLDEN TOP MOUNTAIN JOURNEY is the first serving of noise-rock / molten dub groove from West Australian artists INJURED NINJA from their forthcoming debut album. Released as a 7 inch single – this bass ocean voyage release serves as a tasting test – the first single to be released from their forthcoming debut LP.
Delving into the more groove laden, low-end heavy side of the band – substanitally rightehous bass synth fuses with shimmering guitar hamonics and sonic percussion in one of the most spirtually calming conconctions the NINJA has ever recorded. This tasty dub plate serves to tide over those hungry for the full-length debut – which is jammed packed full of the more renowned searing Ninja noise due early 2011.
The B-side CENTRIPETAL DUB is a fitting accompaniment of heavy grooves assembled through cut up jams-to-tape during the studio album sessions. Both tracks were recorded in June 2010 with engineer Kieran Kenderessy at Loop studios, West Perth.
Also included with the 7 inch is a mp3 download card that includes a bonus track: IDDQD (DIGER ROKWELL GATES OF HELL REMIX) - a trippy reimagining of Injured Ninjas WAMi award 2010 winning single ‘IDDQD’ by one of Perth’s finest upcoming hip-hop talents.
